The real estate market is just like anything else, it has its ups and its downs. And, there’s no doubt that we have experienced some major speed-bumps in recent times. But, the reality is that the market will always bounce back, and that definitely seems to be the case for the Albuquerque market. As you’ve heard me talk about in the monthly real estate reports, home sales are on the rise and are showing no signs of slowing down for now. As I reported previously almost 80% of the homes sales are under 250,000. So it’s the affordable price ranges that are seeing the most significant stabilization. This is great news for our market as a whole.
A couple of weeks ago I spoke about how home sales in the first quarter shot up almost 20% since last year. That number alone shows us that this upward trend is continuing or and hopefully will through next year. And in the end, this is showing that the turnaround in the housing market is finally be here and is gaining momentum as the months go by.
This is definitely positive news for our market and I absolutely would say that it is a good time to buy or sell! If you are thinking about buying or selling but aren’t sure, I think now is the time to take the dive. Why? Well first off, today’s interest rates are unbeatable, statistics are showing us that now is a great time to buy or sell a home! With a fair amount of inventory and an increase in pending and closed homes, economists are encouraged that the market is getting better every day. So, I want everyone who is listening to do their part in helping to boost our economy by calling me to buy or sell a home today.
